project timeline

A STORY IS BORN - FALL 2015

We began writing our very first musical, The Luck of Roaring Camp, in Fall of 2015 while we were juniors in college.

COLD READING - OCTOBER 2016

An initial cold reading of the script was held in October, 2016, comprised of a handful of actors and friends.

CONCERT SHOWING - DECEMBER 2016

On December 3, 2016, Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) hosted a concert showing at Helen K. Persson Recital Hall, immediately gaining The Luck of Roaring Camp a grass-roots following.

WORLD PREMIERE - OCTOBER 2018

In October, 2018, PBAU Theatre premiered the show in a sold-out run at West palm Beach's Fern St. Theatre under the direction of Allen McCoy.

Then in the Summer of 2022, after years of hearing the music in our heads and reliving the story, we went back to the drawing board and re-wrote the entire show, streamlining and refining what we had from the beginning: a powerful story of hope, loss, and redemption.

REVISING THE SHOW - SUMMER 2022

Bringing together the original cast as well as a circle of friends, we hosted a new reading in October of 2022—a full six years after the first—and began dreaming of opportunities to share this revival with a public audience.

REVISED SHOW READING - OCTOBER 2022

PROFESSIONAL WORLD PREMIERE - NOVEMBER 2025

After years of developing and re-imagining the show, THE LUCK received its first professional world-premiere at Pensacola’s Gordon Theatre in collaboration with PenArts, Inc. and FooFoo Fest, and celebrated a sold-out run and soaring reviews.
